5. Alcohol
While having a couple drinks every week isn’t a problem, excessive and long-term drinking is the exact opposite. Because of the way that alcohol affects the body, too much alcohol can lead to a variety of medical conditions that can eventually become risk factors for a stroke, such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Although drinking is fine in moderation, unless you want to put yourself at a higher risk for stroke, then try not to drink at all.
