Keeping her company

The days that followed were grueling for Terry Jo. And for anyone else her age, the conditions she went through might have been too much to handle. No one would think that someone her age could survive. However, there were things that kept her going, such as the group of porpoises that kept her company for several hours.

Weaker by the hour

There was no sign of ever being rescued. She grew weaker by the hour. Terry Jo was unable to move much- she was could no longer feel pain and she was not hungry anymore. And despite being severely parched, she didn’t feel thirsty. Her life started to slip away as she neared the threshold of death.
