Life boats afloat

With the water quickly rising inside the cabin, she knew she had to move fast. Terry Jo went out and saw Harvey in the distance holding what looked like a rifle. When she got up to the upper deck, she saw that the boat’s dinghy and rubber lifeboat were floating next to the boat.

Orphaned and abandoned

Harvey abandoned the ship. Terry Jo was left by herself as the boat sank continued to sink deeper into the dark waters of the ocean. Suddenly, she remembered about the cork lifeboat. She hurried to untie it. When it finally came free, the deck was already under water. She waded through the rising water in a hurried attempt to push the life float into open water.
