As if by miracle

But suddenly by mid-morning, as if by miracle, the Greek freighter, whose captain was named Theo, sailed through the part of the ocean where Terry Jo was stranded. Half conscious, she was lifted up to the ship as she heard voices around her. At last, after four days of drifting alone in the middle of the ocean, Terry Jo was rescued.

The “sole survivor of an accident”

As for Julian Harvey who abandoned the Bluebelle with two dead bodies and left Terry Jo for dead, not much was known about his past life. He was spotted by an oil tanker, which was on its way to Puerto Rico, floating on the dinghy in the middle of the Northwest Providence Channel. He told the Miami Coast Guard that he was the sole survivor of an accident on board the ship he captained.
