Since his lottery win, David had always been conscious of those who had less, and he was always happy to help. He would give his money freely to charitable causes, friends and even strangers who needed money. He donated $50,000 to a Boys Club and provided a hospice with enough money to put up a new wing. He gave a relative, and even his mother-in-law, their own homes, purchasing one at $600,000 and another one at $250,000. But the spending did not always do everyone good.
