Autry Testifies Against Zach

So when Jason Autry finally took the stand, he testified against Zach, sharing how Holly, who they believed was already dead, was wrapped in a blanket and carried to the back of a pickup truck and brought to the Tennessee River. They were supposed to “gut her,” and then “put her in the deep end” as to make sure her body wouldn’t surface. But when they picked her up from the truck, she apparently she made a noise and managed to move her foot, after which, Zach shot her in the head to make sure she was truly gone. Autry acted as a watchman, making sure no one was around to witness it.

Wasn’t Autry Just As Guilty?

Zach’s defense lawyer, Thompson, says that Autry is telling lies, all so that he won’t receive the death penalty in his own trial. She says, “Jason Autry has sold his death penalty to the government. They only price he had to pay was this tall tale he came up with in January.”
