A Heated Discussion Turned Very Sour
It was during their last argument that things got ugly and took a turn for the worst. As soon as Russell returned home, the couple fought over his current infidelity as Elaine was tired of his selfish ways. Russell admitted to hitting her in the face, enough to cause a cut with his ring on her forehead. But he also said Elaine had been hitting and kicking him over and over again before he hit her back. He also says he brought her to the hospital to get checked, and this is where staff told her to consider seeking out help for battered women.
