In the late 1880’s, London, England became the center of terror when Jack the Ripper, an unidentified serial killer, roamed the streets, slaughtering some prostitutes. The press and Scotland Yard received messages from the supposed killer with parts of the victims enclosed. Even to this day, the real identity of the serial killer remains mysteriously unknown.

In 1980, the fourth Archbishop of San Salvador was brutally assassinated while leading a mass at a chapel in El Salvador. He was an ardent advocate of human rights in his nation rife with violence and human rights violation which were supported by the government. His killers were believed to have been members of a death squad. A man named Alvaro Rafael Saravia was found guilty of being involved in the conspiracy to kill the priest, but the actual killers remained at large.
