Hauling in the Suspect

This voila moment fast-tracked the case. Bey revealed to the cops that he had known professional killers that charged $10,000 for services. More importantly, friends said that Rivers had begun to unravel. He kept telling then, “I did a bad thing,” but never expounded on it. Still, they already had enough evidence needed to make an arrest.

Making An Arrest

On September 3, police closed in on Bey and Rivers. In the weeks and months that followed, police also arrested the two alleged hit men: Dominique L. Benson and Aaron Thompson. Three of them were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Bey, on the other hand, was allowed to plead secretly to first-degree conspiracy and a probation violation as long as he testified against his co-defendants. He was sentenced to only five years, but with a caveat: if he failed to testify against the two gunmen, then he could find himself behind bars for a longer period of time. And with that, the intricate murder case finally came to a close.
