Falling Into A Coma

Things were only going to get worse for the 29-year old. His left leg was amputated from the lower leg portion, plus he was also paralyzed from the neck down. His recovery, if you could even call it that, was going to be a long, harrowing, downright painful and difficult one to say the least. Given his injuries, Mark would even fall into a coma for four long months.

Waking Up

When Mark woke up from his coma, he was still completely paralyzed from the neck down, but he could move his tongue. His first ways of communication was by sticking his tongue out whenever his dad pointed at one of the letters located on an alphabet board. It was a very frustrating time for everyone involved, especially for Mark.
