DENYING REALITY
Rowe claimed that he wasn’t angry about being diagnosed with HIV. He already believed that he would be able to cure himself using alternative means. He didn’t take the medicines that the doctors gave him. Instead, his methods were extreme and for some, his means to cure himself seemed disgusting and completely unconventional.
