36. Say that again, Don Corleone?
In the movie The Godfather, Johnny Fontane asks help from his godfather, Don Vito Corleone, an iconic character famously played by Marlon Brando. Fontane wants a film role and goes up to Don Vito to see if there’s anything the Don could do. Guess what he says. It’s actually “I’m gonna make him an offer he can’t refuse,” and not what most people insist as, “I wanna make him an offer he can’t refuse.” The misheard version actually doesn’t make sense, because Don Corleone’s actual line was made as a commitment to his godson, Frank Sinatra-wannabe, Johnny Fontane. Don’t worry, Johnny. Don Vito’s got you.
