Derek’s Had Enough

Sometime in February of 2006, Derek began to truly refuse his treatments. He’s gotten sick of it all, and one particular day, while he was already in the hospital for his radiation, his mom was trying to convince him saying, “Derek, you might not make it if you don’t do this.” But Derek shouts at her, “I don’t care! Take me home. I’m done, Mom. Are you listening to me? I’m done. It’s not going to help. You said it was my decision…”
