Continuous Appeal Attempts
The psychiatrist, Dr. Gene Cary, whom managed to examine Crews had said that Crews was ‘clearly upset about what he had done.’ In fact, Cary even shared, “He is not a man of many words, but he did break down and cry.” But that still didn’t change the fact that he had been found guilty of two murders, and another one, which he had yet to go to trial for. His lawyers would appeal his case continuously to have the death penalty sentence revoked, and eventually in 2006, his sentence was lowered to two life sentences with no possibility of parole.
