The Princess Visits Landmine Blast Victims In Angola
One of Princess Diana’s focuses on helping those in need was landmine victims. She visited at Neves Bendinha in Angola, an orthopedic hospital for landmine victims. She talked to a lot of the patients and promised them she would help raise funds for their rehabilitation. She also made it clear that she would continue to lobby government agencies about clearing landmine areas and totally ban them from ever being used again. This effort won a Nobel Peace Prize, sadly, a few months after her tragic death.
