THE SAD STATISTICS
Ukraine isn’t a country known to be kind to its stray animals. In fact, the PETA website mentions how the police would round up these would-be pets to either shoot or poison them. Then, the dead bodies would be cremated en masse and buried. That was simply unacceptable for Yulia. In fact, while changes are actually taking place, she still wanted to go above and beyond what was expected of her, as a human being and as an animal lover.
