Talking About Her Attack

Although Judy couldn’t talk due to the injuries to her throat as the burns to her airway prevent her from speaking audibly, she has grown adept at communicating without sound. When she was asked to describe her attack, Judy says, “[It was] Horrible. No human being should ever have to go through that. Nothing that breathes should ever have to endure the pain of being set on fire.”
