The entire trial took a mere 5 days, and the jury only took 6 hours to decide what would become the fate of a 16-year old girl who was left to fend for herself practically since the day she was born, with no one to give her the stability, love and proper upbringing that every child requires, and deserves.

Sentenced To Life In Prison

Cyntoia was found guilty of murder, and sentenced to 51 years in prison. This meant that she would only be able to be paroled when she was 67 years old. This also meant that she would grow up behind bars for more than half her life, answering for a crime that would deem her a killer for the rest of her life.
