The Day That Changed Her Life
Cyntoia, despite being 16 at the time, still suffered from many of the alcohol-induced fetal disorder issues she had as a child, paranoia being one of the biggest issues in the forefront of them all. While in Allen’s home, Allen seemed to be quite the gentleman at first, allowing her to relax as he showed her around his home before they engaged in what he was supposed to be paying her to do.

Allen offered Cyntoia food as he showed her around his home. And at the same time, he also began telling her about how wealthy he was, as well as showing her an array of guns that he had in his house. What Allen had originally believed was something that would impress the adolescent 16-year old, only made her that much more paranoid.
