Once the authorities found Conley’s dead body, they immediately began to question Ed about it. He had no choice but to admit that his father had not only died almost a year back, but that Ed was the one using his money retirement checks for himself.

Did He Kill His Father?

The police were highly concerned that Ed had actually killed his dad. But when they sent the body to be examined by the Oregon State Medical Examiners Office, the autopsy results determined that Conley happened to die of natural causes due to old age.
