Being Held On Bail
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office handling the case decided that Ed was ‘a danger to the community,’ so his bail was set at quite a large sum at $280,000. He would then be confined until his hearing, which took place on March 3, 2016.
Found Guilty
When he went to court, Ed would plead guilty to ‘one count of second-degree abuse of a corpse and six counts of first-degree theft.’ The judge would also order him to be the one to pay for all his father’s funeral expenses, given the events that had taken place.
