Going To China

So when David left for Beijing, China to study Chinese after his last semester, his parents weren’t worried at all. His father even explained, “He’d gone to Beijing that summer to get a head start in Mandarin. His course work was done, so he said he was going to take a look around some touristy spots in southeast China before he came back.”

Always In Touch With Family

When he and George arrived, they traveled together to Guangxi, but on August 9, they said their goodbyes. But despite now being alone on his journey, his family explained how David was in touch with them at least two to three times a week via email. But all of that would end on August 11, which was the very last time his family would hear from him ever again.
