10. Dark Matter

Approximately 27% of the universe is made up of what scientists call “dark matter.” Its existence, only recognized by an absence of electromagnetic radiation, is still being debated upon up to this day.

Although theories about its existence have been discussed at length in scholarly journals during the past 6 decades, actual, physical and empirical evidence of it has never been presented.
