6. Where did some creatures come from?
Evolution has tried to explain how present animals, plants and organisms, including humans came about. It seeks to create a bridge connecting all living things to one another in the same way a family tree is used to trace ancestry. In the big family tree of the animal kingdom, some branches linking some creatures seem to be absent.
Missing links
Amphibians, animals that can live in both land and water, are assumed to have evolved from the bony fishes that dominate the seas. The missing link between the fishes and the land animals that have developed legs seem to have been blurred out. Could it be because they are yet to be discovered?
