Scientists studying grazing patterns of cattle have observed a puzzling phenomenon that have them wondering if the gentle beasts are able to tell direction.

Using Satellite images of feeding herds, a curious pattern emerged that made observers scratch their heads.

North and South

Observers noticed that while studying the grazing patterns of cows, the cattle behaved in a peculiar manner 70% of the time. They noted that the cows only turn their heads toward the North or South during feeding or drinking.
