Where Is He Now?

Although his first year after winning was spent touring, as all winners of American Idol are required to do, the next few years had him putting out a Christmas album, as well a third sometime in 2013. But he would veer away from music for a bit to write a book about his childhood and how he actually won the infamous singing show, American Idol. Soon enough he went back to music and he recently released a new album called “Seasons Change” in 2018, and is currently touring the country.

Philip Phillips, Season 11 Winner

Probably one of American Idol’s favorite contestants of all time, Philip Phillips had won Season 11 never having been a part of the bottom 3 on any of the shows throughout the entire season. And he managed to do that despite never really listening to most of the judges’ advice. In fact, he was known to do his own thing, even wearing grey on grey on grey, and yet he still managed to beat out Jessica Sanchez. His coronation song, “Home,” became the most successful of any of the American Idol winners’ songs of any season, which managed to go multi-platinum.
