Although his first album gained a lot of notoriety, even beating out Miley Cyrus for the number 3 spot, his success in music sadly diminished greatly after that. Despite going on tour with Gavin DeGraw in 2011, he himself would join the cast of Broadway’s version of “Kinky Boots” rather than fully focusing on his music. But since then, he’s released more albums and is now currently playing shows in different states around America.

Not discounting Kris Allen’s talent, Season 8’s winner, but for anyone who watched his contender Adam Lambert on the show also knows why he was just as shocked at his own win considering Lambert’s musical prowess and vocal range. After Allen won the show, his first album reached number 11 on the Billboard 200 charts, but his other albums didn’t do as well.
