Aside from his weight loss victory, he has also gone on to join the Gospel and R&B genres of music, which most of his albums are based on. Studdard was even nominated for a Grammy award but sadly, he didn’t win. But in spite of that loss, he has gone on to release 6 albums, the most recent being a ‘Luther Vandross Tribute Album.’ The singer has also gone on to earn an amazing $3.5 million dollars since the start of his career after Idol.

Fantasia Barrino, Season 3 Winner

During Season 3, Fantasia managed to fly through Idol, amazing judges and fans week after week with her powerful vocals. When she won the entire season against Diana DeGarmo, it was truly no surprise to anyone. After her win, not only did she get signed with record label great Sony Music Entertainment, she was also cast in the Broadway play, “The Color Purple,” amongst many other projects.
