The fear was beginning to settle in on everyone’s minds, which caused people to wonder just how real this all was. One of Russia’s better-known newspapers, Novaya Gazeta, had been one of the first to come out with an entire article about it, and the outcome of their statistics on the game was staggering.

Over 130 Teen Deaths

Reportedly, there had already been over 130 teenage suicides recorded due to such suicide games as the Blue Whale. The Novaya Gazeta had written, “We counted 130 suicides of children that occurred in Russia from November 2015 to April 2016. Almost all of them were members of the same group on the internet.”
