Tamagotchi

Considered the first “original virtual reality pet” toys ever found on the market, the tamagochi was named after the Japanese word for egg, tamago. The toy was basically an egg that would hatch a creature and with just three buttons, it allowed you to feed it, care for it and basically make sure that it wouldn’t die. Amazingly, it kept kids busy for days.

LaserDisc Player

LaserDisc players used to be one of the most ‘high tech’ ways to watch a movie at home. It probably changed the way people did home entertainment, at least in those days. You could either rent or buy a disc to watch on your home player. And interestingly enough, you would even have turn the actual disc over in the middle of the movie since they didn’t normally fit on just one side.
