Waterful Ring-Toss

This game came way before Gameboys and the like, and while your kid will probably not believe you, these actually kept us busy for hours on end. Who knew that we could become so competitive about getting those tiny little rings on the tiny spools of plastic while floating around water making it almost impossible to accomplish. If we suggested our kids do this today, they’d probably look at us like we just grew antlers on our heads.

Slam Books

Before cellphones and texting, kids managed to keep themselves busy by passing around a Slam Book, which was basically a journal that kids would pass around to write down their answers to a variety of questions. They were normally fun, juicy, and always make for the best stories around school.
