Don’t Call A Catalan Spanish
Unless you want to offend millions of people who are proud of their language, culture, and history, and who currently struggle for their independence, don’t ever call or refer to people in Catalonia or the Basque Country as Spanish. Nothing could offend them more. It works both ways so it’s best to know where you are and have a sense of the identity of people around you.
