Don’t Overtip
Tipping is a lot different in Spain, especially when compared to the US. In Spain, tipping can be entirely optional, and when people do leave a tip, it will usually be loose coins or spare change, or simply the change from the bill. You might even see waiters putting these in the cash register. This is because waiters in Spain earn a comparatively higher wage than their counterparts elsewhere and they will even be surprised if you leave tips for them, especially in larger amounts.
