Considering that Costa Rica is such a huge tourist spot, it also allows many locals to take advantage of the people visiting. If you must take public transportation, be sure to ride in the orange taxis with the yellow triangle on the side, and not any other cab. No matter how much one of the drivers insists to ride in his taxi, be sure to check if it’s the right kind.
