It took Kim 6 years to truly believe that she had D.I.D. Through intense hours of therapy, with more than one doctor, she was able to finally succumb to the idea of what she had. One particular Professor of Psychology, John Morton, had explained to Kim that her D.I.D. was a ‘severe’ case. He put Kim under two years of voluminous testing. Kim shares, “He did a lot of memory tests and told me he had never met a D.I.D. sufferer with such strong divisions between the personalities. He found no memories existed between some of them.”
