Kim’s personality, Dawn, couldn’t deal with them taking the baby away. She ended up fading into the background, and a few of Kim’s other identities had to take over. This time, it was Hayley and Bonny. Hayley would take matters into her own hands and fight to gain back the custody of her daughter, but it was Bonny who would remain dominant until the end, getting her doctors and therapists to stand by her as she fought the courts, in order to give her back her daughter. And eventually, she won.
