The Civil War is one of the most important events in American history and it was caused by differences of opinion. The North and the South disagreed over crucial issues such as slavery and Abraham Lincoln’s rise to the presidency and it killed more American soldiers than the two World Wars combined. It revolutionized war as America knew it.
