Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico

Found in the Chihuahuan Desert in New Mexico, the Carlsbad Caverns are a sight to behold. Underground lies more than 119 caves of different sizes and depths. The caves were created when the limestone was eaten up by the sulfuric acid, leaving endless amounts of interesting formations all over the walls. Whether with a guide or not, visitors can hike through the caves to enjoy the impressive confines, hardly leaving anyone unimpressed.
