Lake Couer d’Alene, Idaho
While Lake Couer d’Alene was originally formed due to intense flooding some tens of thousands of years ago. Yet these days, it is now a body of water that spans over 25 miles in length and another 1 to 3 in width, depending on where you are on the water. It has become a well-traveled destination spot, which now includes shops, hiking trails, water sports and other fun activities. But there’s something so serene about the water when winter takes over, and it turns into an Instagrammer’s scenic dream.
