Horseshoe Bend, Arizona
Situated in a portion of the Colorado River in Arizona is Horseshoe Bend. While its shape may not necessarily be seen while hiking on foot, an aerial shot of the river shows exactly why this portion got its interesting name, since it looks just like a horseshoe. It can also be seen from the cliff above, which is around 4,200 feet high.
