Most families that go on a vacation can attest to the fact that it’s almost always fun, but it can also be very tiring. There’s even a saying that goes “I need a vacation from my vacation,” precisely because of how tedious and taxing it can be. For one young family, this became a true reality when driving home from their trip, the mommy fell asleep at the wheel.
Amazingly, her 5-year-old daughter found the courage to get the help they needed to survive.
The Shymanski Family
The Shymanski Family was a young family of four from Prince George, British Columbia. Daddy Travis, Mommy Angela, sister Lexi and baby brother Peter were a happy foursome, enjoying their time together as a family. In June of 2015, they decided to take a family getaway to Calgary, which was around an 8-hour drive from where they lived.
