Angela wasn’t as lucky. Not only had she broken her back in 2 places from the accident, she had required CPR to be revived, which broke even more bones in the process. Aside from the fractures in her neck and upper back, she had internal bleeding, as well as issues with her liver. But the fact that she was still alive was already a phenomenon in itself.

Hearing About What Happened

When Angela first woke up after the accident, the first face she saw was that of a stranger. She had no clue what had happened or where her children were. The stranger began to explain what had occurred, and how her young, courageous daughter was able to unbuckle her car seat, get out of the smashed car and walk up the 40-foot steep hill to search for help. Angela shares, “He said, ‘Your little girl, she hiked up this embankment and flagged us down. Don’t worry, they’re both up at the top, at the highway and they’re fine’.”
