What Was Done vs. What Was Not Done
Sheriff Tom Nestor and Deputy Albert Leach launched a reinvestigation into Jill’s death. They listed a lot of things that were not done during the initial investigation, including trajectory at the scene, weapon test fire, autopsy, obtaining a copy of Jill’s life insurance policy, and interview reports. They also took note of the things that need to be done for the reinvestigation, such as interviewing Mike’s third wife, figuring out trajectories, and finding out whether a 6-year-old boy could fire a lever-action rifle.
