Beans, peas, chickpeas, and lentils, otherwise known as pulses, are excellent and affordable sources of fiber that can be made part of your daily meal plan. They contain high amounts of fiber, which, when taken in adequate amounts, promote good digestion and bowel health.
Studies have shown that adding 100g of cooked pulses to your meals provides as much as 26% of your fiber needs for the day, reducing your chances of suffering from constipation.
