An Assistant Professor
Amy was an instructor at Harvard Medical School. Then in 2003, she became an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Alabama in Huntsville where she taught five courses. Later, Amy and her husband, James, went on to work on some projects together, one of which won them third place at a technology competition. They took home $25,000 as a prize.
