Sentenced to life in prison
Robert Broussard, the chief prosecutor consulted the nine survivors and learned none wanted Amy to be served the death penalty. Amy Bishop changed her plea to guilty when Broussard decided not to seek the death penalty based on the wishes of the survivors. Finally, on September 24, 2012, Amy Bishop was sentenced to life imprisonment. She will never be released and she’ll never get another chance to harm innocent people ever again.
