On August 17, 2018, rapper Young Thug was arrested after one of his cars was involved in a collision with a police patrol car in Hollywood, California. Upon inspection of the vehicle, the rapper was charged with felony gun possession, another addition to his rap sheet after being arrested in Georgia in 2017 for possession of methamphetamine, hydrocodone and marijuana with the intent to distribute. In September 2018, 8 felony charges were slapped on Young Thug for his 2017 arrest.

American singer and songwriter Chris Brown, who was in Palm Beach, Florida for his tour, was arrested following his show at the Coral Sky Amphitheater on July 5, 2018. Brown, who in April 2017 was issued an arrest warrant for allegedly attacking a photographer in Tampa Bay, was served the outstanding warrant and taken into custody. He was then booked at a police station and later released after posting bail.
