After hitting a power pole while cruising in California’s San Fernando Valley on May 17, 2018, rapper Mac Miller tried to flee from the scene but was arrested after an eyewitness reported the incident to authorities. Police were able to track down his address after running the license plates from his abandoned SUV and were at his residence immediately after the report. He was slapped with 2 counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and was released after posting a $16,000 bond.

On September 7, 2018, Mac Miller, whose real name was Malcom McCormick, died of an apparent drug overdose in Studio City, California.

Green Bay Packer, Trevor Davis, was arrested in L.A. following an alleged bomb threat which happened at the ticket counter of the Los Angeles International Airport on April 8 2018. Davis, together with a companion allegedly caused a panic when asked if they were carrying any prohibited items with them. The NFL wide receiver allegedly turned to his female companion and said, “Yeah, did you pack the explosives?” Davis was booked on misdemeanor charges and sent out on bail later that day.
