The Freeway Killer

Although he shares the same sick nick name with two other mass murderers, he’s become known as the “Freeway Killer” precisely because of leaving his victims on the road. But there were two other killers that would do the same, therefore the shared moniker. On his final day of life, before death by lethal injection, he said, “I would suggest that when a person has a thought of doing anything serious against the law, that before they did that they should go to a quiet place and think about it seriously.”

Tom Ketchum

Born Thomas E. Ketchum on October 31, 1863, Tom Ketchum became better known as ‘Black Jack.’, He was a well-known cowboy at the time who ended up becoming one of the most popular train robbers in the late 1800’s. What began as robberies quickly turned into murders, and eventually, his crimes caught up with him and he was caught for his misdeeds.
