By the time that he was imprisoned for good and waiting for his execution via hanging, it was said that he even wrote down all the crimes that he committed during his lifetime. Nearing his death, he had said, “I look forward to a seat in the electric chair or a dance at the end of a rope just like some folks do for their wedding night.” And right before he was hanged on September 5, 1930, he told the executioner, “Hurry up, you Hoosier bastard. I could kill ten men while you’re fooling around.”

Although Thomas J. Grasso was not exactly considered one of the worst killers that the world has known, his last words seem to have preceded him. He had been caught for the murder of two people seemingly in order to just rob them. But peculiarly, he didn’t get much from his victims. After confessing to his crimes and being arrested and sentenced to death, he remained in jail until his death on March 20, 1955.
